Why your email signature matters

An email signature is often overlooked, but it's one of the simplest ways to present your business professionally. Every email you send is an opportunity to reinforce your brand, make it easy for people to contact you, and direct them to your website or social media channels. A well-designed email signature helps create a polished and consistent impression with every interaction.

My recommended email signature tools

One of the easiest options I've come across is Signature Hound. Their platform allows you to create a professional-looking email signature using your logo, contact details, social media links, and brand colours, then provides simple instructions for installing it into your email program.

Another popular option is HubSpot's Email Signature Generator. It's free to use and offers a range of layouts and customisation options to help you create a signature that suits your brand.

Whichever tool you choose, having a professional email signature is a small detail that can make a big difference to how your business is perceived.

Why I don't create email signatures for clients

While I can provide your logo and branding elements, I don't create or install email signatures on behalf of clients. This is because every email platform handles signatures differently, and email software can be notoriously unpredictable when it comes to displaying images, fonts, spacing, and formatting.

Unlike a website or printed design, email signatures are built using HTML code and must be configured within your own email platform. Different email providers and devices can display signatures differently, and images can sometimes be blocked or stripped out entirely by the recipient's email settings.

For this reason, I recommend using a dedicated email signature generator, which is specifically designed to create signatures that work across a wide range of email clients.
